Team Raftr is dedicated to providing you with an exceptional customer experience that begins with training and onboarding your primary administrative users. (NOTE: Learn more about how admin training fits into the overall implementation process here.)
Initial Onboarding
Custom Live Training
Regardless of what customer support package you have, all new partners receive up to 5 hours of custom live training sessions during their initial implementation. These training sessions cover set topics relevant to specific administrative users but can be customized with your needs in mind.
Depending upon your Raftr solution and training needs, these sessions will cover topics such as:
- Introduction to Raftr
- Content Creation
- Raft Management
- Community Administration
If you are a team of one, these training sessions are facilitated 1-on-1 and more tailored to your individual questions as a Community Admin. If you have a team of administrators dedicated to supporting Raftr, we strongly encourage including them in specific training sessions.
Most sessions are 60 to 90 minutes in length, and recorded for your future reference or to share with your broader team and other staff members who later come on board. If you are interested in adding additional training sessions, please contact your Success Manager to discuss options or request a quote from Team Raftr.
Creating an Account
During your first training session, your Success Manager will provide you with credentials to create or activate your account using your preferred onboarding method. This is your first opportunity to experience Raftr’s interactive onboarding flow and preview the community that Team Raftr custom-built for you.
Your level of administrative permissions will be set based upon the information you provided in your community setup form, but can be updated at any time by your Success Manager. Generally, speaking, administrative users are assigned specific permission sets based on their role in the community, including:
- Community-Wide Roles
- Community Admin
- Department Admin
- Raft-Level Roles
- Raft Leader
- Raft Co-Leader
- Raft Curator
- Channel-Level Roles
- Channel Leader
- Channel Co-Leader
Learn more about the permission sets for different administrative roles, also called access or permission levels.
Implementation Strategy Sessions
Whether you are launching Raftr for the first time or re-launching the platform to a new group of community members, your Success Manager is here to guide your strategy. During your initial implementation, your Success Manager hosts an implementation kickoff meeting to confirm your strategic goals and implementation timeline. They will also meet with you regularly during the implementation process to advise on strategies for a successful launch.
Ongoing Training
We believe that customer learning is an ongoing process, so your training experience does not end with your initial onboarding to Raftr. Current partners have access to ongoing training and on-demand resources to deepen their knowledge of our platform.
Annual Training Refreshers
Depending upon your customer support package, returning partners will receive between 2-4 hours of custom live training refreshers annually for their team members. Most of our current partners use this as an opportunity to train new staff members or student leaders who turn over annually (e.g., orientation leaders, resident assistants).
Quarterly Live Trainings
At least once per quarter, Team Raftr also facilitates live training sessions for all our current partners geared toward Community Admins but is open to anyone from your team. Training topics rotate between product updates and success strategies, and we ask that at least one person from your team attend each training.
Raftr Training Community
We have leveraged Raftr technology to build an online community exclusively for our current partners and community administrators: Raftr for Raftr Admins (R4R). Here, you have one-click access to training resources, success strategies, product updates, and more, all in one place. New clients are automatically joined to this community as an ongoing resource after you launch Raftr in your community.
Raftr Support Center
All current partners can access our knowledge base for community administrators in-app or by visiting our Support Center website. The Support Center includes searchable FAQs and how-to videos, which we continue to update as new product features are released.
