Accessing the Raft Management Dashboard
To access the Raft Management dashboard, go to the Admin Portal and select the Content dashboard. Once there, go to Raft Management on the left hand Content Management menu. If you do not see this option and believe you should, reach out to your Success Manager or contact us.
Viewing Rafts and Channels
The Raft Management dashboard shows all Rafts in your community along with some key information about them. The first column has the Raft name and a link to it in the app. The second column has the name of the Raft Chat group (the default name is "Everyone," since everyone in the Raft can use it to send messages).
For Premium Rafts that have additional Channels, you can view them by selecting the "expand”' button (arrows up and down) in the Premium Channels column. Selecting the icon will expand the list to show a list of the names of the additional Channels on that Raft.
The Members column will show the total number of people in each Raft or Channel. You can also Ban or Restrict individual members by selecting the "More menu" (...) icon next to the number.
Raft Type and Upgrades
In the Type column, you will see if a Raft is Basic or Premium. Premium Rafts have several added benefits, including the ability to add Channels, send Announcements, and duplicate or schedule content. You can filter the list by Raft type or upgrade a Raft directly from the Raft Management dashboard. Select the column title at the top of the dashboard to filter the view. Select the Upgrade button for any Basic Raft to start the upgrade process. (Note: there may be an additional fee to upgrade Rafts. If you would like to include additional Premium Rafts or unlimited Raft upgrades to your community, please reach out to your Success Manager.)
Freezing Rafts
One of the basic platform safety features offered in Raftr is freezing Rafts and Channels. Freezing a group keeps all members from viewing or interacting with content until it is unfrozen by an admin. Raft and Channel Admin have the ability to freeze the groups they are responsible for directly in the Raft or Channel settings, but Community Admins have the ability to freeze and unfreeze any Raft or Channel directly on the Raft Management dashboard. To freeze a Raft or Channel, turn on the toggle button in the Freeze column, and turn it off to unfreeze. This gives administrators a quick, easy way to take action in the case of unfriendly or unsafe activities on any Raft or Channel in their community, even if they are not joined to it. Individual Channels on a Raft can be frozen independently from each other and the Raft as a whole, but freezing a Raft will freeze all Channels on that Raft by default.
Verifying Rafts
Show your community which Rafts are the most important, relevant, or official by verifying them. A verified Raft can be Premium or Basic. A verified Raft has a checkmark beside its name in the app.
The only way to verify a Raft is on the Raft Management dashboard. Choose a Raft you want to verify and toggle the button in the Verified column to on. Any Channels on that Raft will also be verified. At this time, you cannot verify an individual Channel.
Enabling Incognito Chat
Incognito Chat is a feature that allows members of a Raft or Channel to send messages to the group without sharing their identity. This feature can be turned on or off on a Raft/Channel basis from the Raft Management dashboard. To enable Incognito Chat, toggle on the button in the far right column on. Enabling it for a Raft does not turn it on for any additional Channels on that Raft. It must be enabled for each Channel independently.
Other Raft Management Tools
In addition to these actions available via the Raft Management dashboard, you can also navigate to a specific Raft from this dashboard by clicking the Go To Raft button or create a new Raft by clicking the Create a Raft button.
