Alert Messages are full-screen notifications designed to ensure members don’t miss critical actions or deadlines—like submitting forms, booking interviews, or applying for financial aid. These alerts are triggered manually by institution admins and are timed to display prominently on members' devices, ensuring maximum visibility.
Note: Only institution admins can create and manage Alert Messages via the web-based Admin Portal.
Creating an Alert Message
To create an Alert Message, log in to the Admin Portal on the web. Navigate to the “Alert Messages” section under the "Content" tab. From here:
Select + New Alert Message.
Fill out the required fields:
Title – A clear headline (e.g., “Submit your FAFSA”).
Description – Context or instructions for the alert.
Link (optional) – A URL where members can complete the action.
Trigger Date & Time – When the alert will be displayed (must be scheduled at least one day in advance).
Click Create to schedule your alert.
You’ll see a list of all active and scheduled alerts in the dashboard. Admins can edit or delete alerts before their trigger date. Once triggered, they become locked for editing and will appear in members’ notification feeds
Notification Feed
All Alert Messages also appear in the Notification Feed with:
Title
Description
Timestamp
Link (if provided)
Alerts are marked under the Essential category and are visually distinct for easy recognition.
Managing Alert Messages
Admins can return to the Admin Portal to:

? Alerts can only be scheduled for future dates. Once triggered, they cannot be edited or removed.
Best Practices
