To create an Event in Raftr, simply click the Add new (+) button on the bottom of the Home Page or any Raft or Channel page that you are a member of.
Click the Event button within the create menu, then enter the Event title, beginning and end date, time, location, a video conference link if applicable, and a Hosted by name if you want the host to be a name other than yours. Once you've added a date, you can also tap the Repeat (arrow) button for the option to create a recurring Event. If you are a Leader or Co-Leader of a Premium Raft, you can also enable Event Check-In to track attendees or enable self check-in. Add an Event description and assign a topic.
When creating Events, you can also use the bottom menu to include images from your personal library, attach a document with supplemental information, or add a GIF from Giphy to make your Event more eye-catching. When you’re ready to publish, tap the Share button.

If Event Check-In is enabled for your community, you can enable this feature to track attendance at your event. You can choose to enable Self Check-In with QR code only, location only, either, or neither (manual registration only). Finally, add an Event description and assign a topic.
When creating Events, you can also include images and videos from your personal library or Raftr's built-in image library; attach a document with supplemental information; or add a GIF from Giphy to make your Event more eye-catching. When you’re ready to publish, tap the Post button or click Schedule (down arrow) to schedule an Event for future distribution. If you are a Community Admin, you can also cross-post on multiple Rafts from this screen.
Filtering Events
To help members find the Events that are most important to them, we offer multiple filtering options. From the main Events feed on both the mobile apps and web, you can filter the content on Raftr by hot Events, Events you are interested in, Events within your private groups, upcoming Events (i.e. by day, this week, or this weekend), location, or specific topics. Simply click a filter button and select how you want to filter Events.
