Send as Message

Share an Event to a Channel by selecting the Share button underneath any Event. Choose the Send as message option from the Share menu to see a list of available Channels. Members of that Channel will be able to see and interact with the Event as long as they have visibility to the Event (for example, if the Event is on a Private or Secret Raft, members of the Channel must also be joined to that Raft to see the Event in the Channel it was shared to).

Mobile App Gestures

Swipe to Reply 

Reply to a message quickly and easily by swiping right on it. You will see the original message text above the composer bar, and then you can craft your response and tap the send icon (right arrow). This works on Raft Chat, Channels, direct messages, and personal messaging groups.

Long Press for Options

When viewing a Channel, direct message, or Raft Chat tab on the iOS or Android app, press down on any message to open the option menu. You will see options like Reply, Like, Copy, and Flag. These options are available on the web platform by clicking the "More menu" (...) icon. 

"Seen By" Feature for Messages

Check to see who has (and hasn't) viewed a message with the "Seen By" feature. All messages in Rafts, Channels, and personal messaging groups support "Seen By" (NOTE: The feature is not available for one-to-one direct messages). You can check out who's viewed your own messages or any message in conversation.

To view a list of people who have viewed a message, select the "More menu" (...) icon (web only) or hold down on the message (iOS/Android) to see the option menu. Select Seen By to open the full list of people who have viewed the message. You can also toggle to the Not yet seen list to view who in the group has not seen the message. 

Leaders and Co-leaders of Premium Rafts can also download the "Seen By" and "Not yet seen" lists as a .CSV file when viewing the list from the web platform by selecting the “export" icon (box with down arrow).

Bookmarked Messages

Save and store important messages for later with the "Bookmark" feature. To bookmark a message on a Channel, Raft Chat, direct message, or personal messaging group, open the option menu. Select the "More menu" (...) icon on the web platform or hold down on the message for iOS and Android, then select Bookmark. Your bookmarks can be viewed by enabling the Bookmarks filter.

Text Formatting

Give your messages some oomph and pizzazz with the following text formatting options. 

Rich Text Editor (Web only)

When sending a message on the Web version of Raftr, you can use the built-in rich text editor to enable text formatting options. Select the "text" (A) icon on the right side of the message composer bar. That will open your text formatting options below. You can add bolded text, italics, bullet points, a numbered list, or change the text color. Although you can only use the rich text editor on the web platform, the updated text can be viewed on the mobile apps as well.

Raftr Markup Language

All versions of Raftr support Raftr Markup Language, which is a way of using symbols and HTML principles to change the formatting of a message. Here are the supported options.
