Reports & Insights – Raftr

The Reports dashboard on the Admin Portal is a powerful tool for community admins to monitor the health of their community. It displays all of the essential engagement data in a simple, easy-to-understand set of dashboards.

Accessing the Reports Dashboard

To access your community reports, go to the Admin Portal and select the Reports dashboard. The default view will be your community overview. From there you can navigate to additional reports to drill down further into your community metrics.

Customizing the Reports Dashboard

Date Filter

View your reports over a specific time period by selecting the date dropdown menu on the top right of the report. The default time frame is the previous week. To change it, select a start date and end date from the calendar and select Apply.

Tags Filter

You can view your reports for a specific set of users based on User Tags. Select the tag dropdown menu to view a list of your available tags. Select a checkbox next to a tag to filter your engagement charts to only show members with that specific tag.

Available Reports

Below is a summary of the various reporting dashboards and the charts included in one.

Overview

High-level highlights for your community, including percent change between the selected time period and the previous one (default is one week)

User Session Duration – Shows the total daily session duration (how long users spend on the platform) for your community, as well as the total number of weekly session, total number of users who were active, and the average number of sessions per user
Avg. Session Duration Over the Week – Shows the days of the week when your community was most active, as well as the average length of each user session.
Event Engagement – Shows the daily total and average number of views, interested, and check-ins for Events in your community
Post Engagement – Shows the daily total and average number of views, likes, and comments on Posts in your community
Chat Engagement – Shows the daily total and average number of messages sent, message reactions, and chat Poll votes in your community
Announcement Engagement – Shows the daily total and average number of Announcements created and opened in your community

Members

Metrics related to your active users and how much time they are spending on the platform, including percent change between the current and previous time period:

Total Users – Shows the total number of users during the selected time period, as well as a bar chart comparing the current period and the previous one. Hover over the charts for specific numbers
By Platform – Shows a pie chart breakdown of which platform your members are accessing your community (including the Admin Portal)
Session Duration By Hour – Shows the total number of user sessions (how long users spend on the platform) and an hourly breakdown of when members spent the longest amount of time on the platform
Avg. Daily Active – Shows the average number of unique members who were active on the platform each day over the specific time period. An increasing line means that the number of members logging in daily is going up
Avg. Weekly Active – Shows the average number of members who were active at least once during the previous week. An increasing line means that the number of members logging in once a week or more is going up
Avg. Monthly Active – Shows the average number of members who were active at least once during the previous month. An increasing line means that the number of members logging in once a month or more is going up

Chat

Metrics related to chat and messaging for your community, including direct messages (DMs), personal messaging groups (PMGs), Channels, and Raft Chat.

Engagement – Shows a bar chart with the total and average number of messages sent, message reactions, and chat poll votes during the selected time period across DMs, PMGs, and chatrooms. Also includes a percent change in the totals.
Room Type – Shows a pie chart breaking down the total number of messages sent during the time period by type of chat group: DM, Channel, or PMG. Selecting any section of the pie chart will filter all other charts on the Chat page by that chatroom type.
Chatrooms by Messages – Shows the total number of messages sent during the selected time period broken down by Channel or Raft.
Chatrooms by Likes – Shows the total number of message reactions sent during the selected time period broken down by Channel or Raft

Event Post Activity & Event on Chat Activity

Data and graphs related to the number of Event Posts in your community and the amount of engagement your members are having with them. (NOTE: Event Post Activity is for Events created as Raft Posts, while Event on Chat Activity shows Events created on a Channel or personal group messages. Both sections have the same charts)

Creation – Shows a pie chart breakdown of the percentage of Events created by each persona in your community. Selecting a section of the pie chart will filter all other charts on the page by that persona. Hover over a section to see specific amounts.
Engagement – Shows a bar chart with the total number of Event Views, Interested, and Check-ins per day and over the course of the selected time frame. Also includes a percent change in the totals.
Popular Events – Shows an area chart with the names of the most popular Events in your community, according to the number of members who marked themselves Interested. The bigger the box, the more people were Interested.

Posts

Data and graphs related to the number of Posts in your community and the amount of engagement your members are having with them.

Creation – Shows a bar chart with the number of Posts created during the selected time period broken down by type of Post and user persona. Selecting any section of the chart will filter all the other charts on the Posts page by that Post type or persona. Hover over a chart section to see the specific numbers.
Engagement – Shows a bar chart with the total and average number of views, likes, and comments on Posts during the selected time period. Also includes a percent change in the totals.
By Raft – Shows the total number of Posts and comments created during the selected time period broken down by Raft.

Polls

Metrics related to the number and engagement with Poll messages and Poll Posts.

Creation – Shows a pie chart breakdown of the percentage of Poll Posts created by each persona in your community during the selected time frame. Selecting a section of the pie chart will filter all other charts on the Poll page by that persona. Hover over a section to see specific amounts.
Post Poll Engagement – Shows a bar chart with the total and average number of views, likes, and comments on Poll Posts during the selected time period. Also includes a percent change in the totals.
Votes on Polls (Posts) – Shows an area chart with the names of the Poll Polls that have received the most votes during the selected time period, as well as the total number of votes cast. The larger the box, the more votes the Poll received.
Votes on Polls (Chat) – Shows an area chart with the dates of the Chat Polls that received the most votes during the selected time period, as well as the total number of votes cast. The larger the box, the more votes the Poll received.

Checklists

Charts and data related to activity on Checklist Posts and tasks.

Engagement – Shows a bar chart with the total number of tasks viewed and completed by day and overall during the selected time period. Also includes a percent change in the overal totals.
Tasks Completed By List – Shows an area chart with the names of the Checklists where the most overall tasks were completed by members. The larger the box, the more tasks were completed. (NOTE: The total number of tasks includes number of tasks on the Checklist multiplied by the number of members who completed them, so Checklists with more tasks or on Rafts with more members will likely have more completed.)

Announcements

Charts and data related to custom Announcements and their engagement.

Engagement – Shows a bar chart with the total and average number of Announcements created and opened during the selected time period. Also includes the percent change in the totals.
By Raft – Shows an area chart with the names of the Rafts with the most Announcement interactions. The bigger the box, the more Announcement views the Raft had.

Campus Page

Charts and data related to activity on the Campus Page.

Engagement – Shows a bar chart with the total and average number of Campus Page views and actions taken during the selected time period. Also includes the percent change in the totals.
Subpage Views – For communities with multiple Department Pages, shows a breakdown of the number of Campus Page views by each specific subpage during the selected time period.
Actions – Shows a bar chart of the number of pinned Announcements viewed during the selected time period and the number of times the Spotlight section was viewed.
