Like all aspects of Raftr, community-level permissions are designed to be highly customizable to fit each institution or organization’s needs. Depending on their permission level, community-level administrators have access to a specific set of permissions. Community Admins have the highest level of administrative permissions in Raftr, which is why we ask our partners to designate a primary Community Admin from your team.
In addition to Community Admins, you may choose to designate other community-level administrative roles, including: 1) Department Admins, 2) Safety Feature Admins, and 3) Community Collaborators. These administrative users still have access to various administrative features and tools, but their permissions are limited to their department, safety features, or view-only access.
Of course, these permissions can always be customized; just reach out to your Success Manager to discuss other options.
Community Admin
Your Community Admin(s) will be Team Raftr’s primary point of contact throughout your time with Raftr, so they should be the one primarily responsible for your implementation. These users have all available administrative permissions, including full access to the Content, Members, Community, and Reports dashboards on the Admin Portal (web only).
Department Admin
For partners with multiple solutions, the Department Admin role is a great way to give other members of your team access to insights, content management, and members lists while limiting their access to community-wide administrative permissions. These administrative users have access to make certain changes on the Content and Members dashboards, but cannot edit community-wide settings. Department Admins can also view and download department-level metrics from your Raftr community. These administrative users can also be designated as editors for department-specific Community pages.
Safety Feature Admin
Safety Feature Admins have community-level permissions that include limited access to the Admin Portal (web only), specifically the Content Management dashboard. This role was specifically designed for content moderation to ensure that your members’ actions align with your code of conduct and Raftr’s Terms of Use. Safety Feature Admins can use the Raft Management tool in the Content Management dashboard to restrict or ban members and freeze a Raft or Channel.
Community Collaborator
This administrative role allows you to grant your community partners view-only access to community-wide metrics from your Raftr community. This permission level is great for upper-level administrators who are equally invested in your successful use of Raftr!
