The Raft Engagement Detail report is one of several reports available on the Reports dashboard of the Admin Portal. It is accessible by Community Admins and other designated administrative users on the web only. The Reports dashboard gives you easy access to metrics that demonstrate your users’ engagement on the app. It also provides you with powerful insights to drive your content and communication strategies for Raftr.
The Raft Engagement Detail report is particularly useful for comparing user engagement across all Rafts in your community over time, or during a specific time period.
Accessing the Raft Engagement Detail Report
To access the Raft Engagement Detail report, go to the Admin Portal and select the Reports dashboard. Once there, click on the Raft Engagement Detail in the Reports menu on the left-hand side of your screen. If you do not see this report and believe you should, reach out to your Success Manager or contact us.
Community Admins have full access to view, download, and share analytics with campus partners. Department Admins and Community Collaborators have view-only access to all Reports. Safety Feature Admins do not have access to the Reports dashboard. Learn more about permission levels here.
Filtering Metrics in the Raft Engagement Detail Report
You can view metrics for a specific period of time by filtering the Date Range in the top right corner of the screen. The default view for metrics in the Raft Engagement Detail is “All Time.”
The list of Rafts included in the Raft Engagement Detail can also be sorted in ascending or descending order by ID, Raft Name, Date Created, Members, Raft Type, Raft Privacy, and User Actions.
Downloading Metrics from Raft Engagement Detail
Community Admins can download a full list of metrics from the Raft Engagement Detail by hovering over Rafts List, then selecting the Download (⬇) icon. You can download metrics to a .csv, .xlsx, or .json file.
We strongly recommend that you download all metrics before you bulk remove content or members from your Raftr community so you have this data for your records. Content and members removed from your community are not included in any Raftr Reports, including the User Action Detail.
Interpreting Metrics in the Raft Engagement Detail Report
The Raft Engagement Detail report includes a subset of user action details across all Rafts in your community, including Posts, Post Likes, Post Comments, Post Like Comments, Post Interests, Chat Messages, and Chat Message Likes. Automatically-generated content (AGC) is not included in these metrics; only user-generated actions are included. Learn more about specific user actions here.
Understanding the meaning of metrics included in the Raft Engagement Detail report will help you to draw valuable insights from them. You will want to pay particular attention to those metrics most relevant to your strategic goals for Raftr. For tips on how to interpret metrics in the Raft Engagement Detail, hover over a specific metric, then click on the Information (i) icon.
PRO TIP: If you want members to interact more in specific Rafts than others, the number of user actions in those Rafts should be higher.
Other information included in the Raft Engagement Detail is as follows:
- ID — Raftr-assigned ID number used for internal purposes or troubleshooting
- Raft Name — Name given to a Raft
- Date Created — When a Raft was created in Raftr
- Members — Number of activated members in a Raft
- Premium Raft — Whether a Raft is Basic or Premium
- Raft Type — Raft privacy setting, including Public, Private or Secret
- User Actions — Including Posts, Post Likes, Post Comments, Post Comment Likes, Poll Interests, Chat Messages, and Chat Message Likes
