Broadcasting Messages

Broadcasting messages is a feature that allows you to send the same direct message to multiple people in your community at once. It is available to some Community Admins. The easiest way to see if you can broadcast messages is to see if the option is available to you on the Launchpad on the Admin Portal.

Broadcasting messages is great for situations where you want to send the same message to recipients individually. This way, the message recipients can also respond individually to you via a direct message.

(NOTE: You can also broadcast a Post or an Event.)

How to Send a Broadcast Message

To send a broadcast message, use the same initial steps as sending a group message. Select all of the members you want to send your message to and select Next. As an administrative user with broadcast permissions, you will see two options. Select the Broadcast Message button and then compose your message. Select the Send (arrow) button to send a direct message to each recipient.
