When you’re creating content for your Raftr community, you can choose from a wide variety of content types to help you maintain a rich and dynamic community experience.
Use the Post type to make an update, share a flyer, link an article, or share other important information with members of one or more Rafts. This content type offers the ability to display text, images, videos, or file attachments. Posts also display a “Viewed By” counter so you can see just how many times members of your community have seen your Post.
Create an Event in Raftr to promote an upcoming activity. Include the basic information, such as date, time, location, video link (if it’s virtual), an event description, and topics. You can also add an image or GIF to help make your Event visually stand out. Premium Rafts may also support attendance tracking through manual, location-based, or QR check-in.
The best way to survey your community is through a Poll. Add up to ten options for your community members to choose from, and don’t forget to select how long you want people to be able to vote or if you want members to see what others have voted for. Authors can also download the results of their Polls.
Connect with another community member one-on-one or share your thoughts in a Channel or group chat with a message. On Raftr you can choose a specific member or a group of people to send a personal message, or find a Raft you’re a member of and join in the conversation. Include a photo or GIF to liven up the conversation. Members can also share Events posted on Rafts by clicking Send as Message to any Channel they're a member of.
This premium feature allows you to send a custom notification to all the members of a Raft. Raft Admins can send up to four Announcements per Raft per day via push notification or email by default. You can also pin unlimited Announcements to your Campus page for a set period of time to highlight important info. You can also schedule your Announcement to go out at a later time or day.
This premium feature lets you create and display a custom list of Raftr members to use as a Directory of staff, faculty, student leaders, and more. Directories can include locations, phone numbers, email addresses, and gives members the option of sending direct messages instantly from the Directory.
This premium feature lets you create a Checklist of to-do items for your community members. Assign a list of deadlines for your members and help keep track of who still has to complete their tasks. Checklist authors can also remind people about tasks they need to complete and download the results.
This premium feature lets you build an interactive Map to visually display any locations you choose around your community. Supported by an integration with Google Maps, any location can be plotted and supporting information included on Maps.
Similar to the interactive Map, Virtual Tours go one step further with the addition of a video with each location on the map. Videos automatically play when you select the location on the map.
This premium feature lets you create a comprehensive Guide with a series of items that can include images, text, locations, and other information. Provide a list of resources for your community members to easily locate. You can think of a Guide as a combination of the other four list post types.
